Bobcats take 10th at Huron Invitational

HURON – The Bobcats shot 444 and finished 10th at the Huron Girls’ Golf Invitational on Thursday at Broadland Creek.

Sioux Falls O’Gorman won the team title with a 331 total. Brandon Valley (334) was second and Aberdeen Central (336) third.

The Lynx’s Liz Duncan claimed medalist honors following a round of 4-over-par 76.

Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa (78) and Rapid City Stevens’ Emmy Sundby (79) were second and third, respectively.

O’Gorman’s Sophia Salter, Aberdeen Central’s Cassidy Gough and Mitchell’s Ashley Zimmer tied for fourth with matching 80s.

Nicole Steen paced Brookings with a 100, putting her in 42nd.

Ashton Austreim (106) tied for 46th, Morgan Herold (118) finished 54th and Janaya Kuehl (120) was 55th to round out the Bobcats’ team score.

Also for Brookings, Amber Hoiland (159) was 59th.

The Bobcats compete in the Yankton Invitational today at 10 a.m. at Fox Run.
