Bobcats take 2nd in home quad

BROOKINGS – Watertown’s Sam Batta earned medalist honors with a 1-over-par 37 and the Arrows took the team title with a score of 168 during a boys’ golf quadrangular on Friday at Brookings Country Club.

The host Bobcats were second at 173, followed by Madison (174) in third and Mitchell (205) in fourth.

The Bulldogs’ Braden Eimers was runner-up with a 41.

Landon Moe paced Brookings with a 42, putting him in a tie for third with Madison’s Heston Jorgenson.

Drew Cole shot 43, and Alec Rice and Blaine Bachar both carded 44 to complete the Bobcats’ team tally.

The event was shortened to nine holes due to the rain.

Brookings takes on Lincoln in a dual Thursday at 4 p.m. at Prairie Green in Sioux Falls.
