BROOKINGS – Watertown won the team title and the host Bobcats finished third in the Patty Jorgenson Invitational on Saturday at Bob Jostad Gymnasium.
The Arrows posted a score of 145.275. Mitchell was second at 142.85.
Brookings tallied a 136.15, well ahead of fourth-place Sioux Falls Lincoln (133.675) and fifth-place Madison (133.325).
Watertown junior Brooke Bollinger took the all-around crown with a 37.475 total. Sophomore teammate Myah Morris (36.85) was second and the Kernels’ Emily Moody (36.4) and Kyra Gropper (36.05) finished third and fourth, respectively. Huron’s Erica Zell (35.575) rounded out the top five.
Rachel Gannon was sixth to pace the Bobcats. She had a 35.55.
The sophomore led the team in all four events. She was fourth on the floor (9.3), sixth on the beam (8.775), seventh on the vault (9.0) and tied for 15th on the bars (8.475).
Tayla Dobrenski (34.125) ended up 11th in the all-around, Sierra Stevens (33.6) was 13th and Lily Siemonsma (32.225) took 19th.
Bollinger won the beam (9.125) and floor (9.7), took second on the bars (9.3) and was third on the vault (9.35). Morris won the bars (9.475) and vault (9.825).
Brookings takes on Harrisburg and the Gazelles in a triangular today at 6 p.m. in Yankton.
