Bobcats take second at home triangular

BROOKINGS – Watertown posted the top team score at the Brookings Triangular on Tuesday, finishing at 141.65, while the host Bobcats took second with a 138.65 and Sioux Falls Roosevelt (124.4) was third.

The Arrows’ Myah Morris won the all-around with a 36.6 total.

Brookings’ Rachel Gannon was second at 35.0, followed by teammate Macy Law (34.7) in third place.

Watertown’s Brooke Bollinger (34.45) took fourth and Brookings’ Marah Dobrenski (34.3) ended up fifth.

Dobrenski, a senior, won the floor exercise with a 9.4.

Gannon and Watertown’s Erica Hageman tied for second at 9.35, while Morris (9.3) was fourth and Arrow Abigail Landsman (9.2) fifth.

Law and Bollinger tied for sixth at 9.15, and Watertown’s Abbi Cummings (9.0) ended up eighth.

Morris won both the bars (9.5) and vault (9.05).

Hageman took second on the vault with a 9.0. Gannon (8.8) and teammate Carissa Witt (8.65) were third and fourth, respectively, and Bollinger and Brookings’ Tayla Dobrenski tied for fifth at 8.6.

On the bars, Brookings’ Lily Siemonsma (8.65) was runner-up and Gannon (8.55) placed third.

Hageman was tops on the beam with a 9.05.

Law (8.85), Cummings (8.8), Morris (8.75) and Watertown’s Brenna Herting (8.7) rounded out the top five. Gannon had an 8.3.

Law earned matching 8.35s on the vault and bars. Marah Dobrenski had an 8.4 on the vault, an 8.3 on the bars and an 8.2 on the beam.

Brookings is host to its annual invitational on Saturday at noon.
