Bombers Black go 1-3 in home tournament

BROOKINGS – The Bombers Black posted a 1-3 mark in the 14U division of the Cubby’s Sports Bar & Grill Tournament over the weekend, closing with a 6-3 defeat of Volga on Sunday.

Sunday

 Brookings 6, Volga 3

Tane Friedrich (triple) and Jacob Peterson (double) led the way with two hits and an RBI apiece.

Aidan Austreim and Tyson Antonen both singled and drove in a run. Jacob Walsh doubled.

Walsh earned the win on the mound, giving up three runs – none of which were earned – on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks.
