Friday, Aug. 31

12:14 a.m. Officers responded to the 800 block of Seventh Street for a crash.

1:12 a.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of 12th Street South in reference to a residential burglary. An investigation is ongoing.

12:34 p.m. Officer Schneider received a report of harassment between an adult and a juvenile. Charges are pending against the adult.

1:30 p.m. Grand theft, over $1,000

3:35 p.m. Law enforcement was called to the 2200 block of Sixth Street due to a report of shoplifting. The items were returned to the business, and the female subject was issued a court summons.

3:39 p.m. Officer Weinrich took a report of the theft of a trailer hitch that occurred in the 300 block of Medary Avenue. A report was generated.

Saturday, Sept. 1

6:05 a.m. Officers responded to a Brookings residence in regard to an altercation between brothers.

6:12 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of 12th Street South to assist another agency in locating a juvenile. The juvenile was located and detained. A report was taken.

Sunday, Sept. 2

1:48 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Southland Lane for a report of a domestic assault. A male was arrested and a report was filed.

3:23 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the railroad crossing at Main Avenue in regard to an injury accident. One male was transported to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.

6:48 a.m. Officer Bonnema generated a report in regard to theft of items from a vehicle.

8:15 a.m. Officer Larsen took a report of a burglary in the 2200 block of Primrose Drive. It is currently under investigation.

8:47 a.m. Officers responded to the area of Larkspur Ridge Drive in regard to numerous vehicles and garages that were entered.

4:13 p.m. Officer Bonnema stopped a motor vehicle for a window tint violation. During the stop, factors of criminal activity were observed. Police service dog Gina was deployed around the vehicle and indicated to the odor of illegal drugs. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Monday, Sept. 3

12:42 a.m. Officer DeJong conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Main Avenue South and Second Street South. An investigation was made, and one juvenile was cited for various drug-related offenses. A report was filed.
