Tuesday, Aug. 7
2:17 a.m. Officers responded to a report of an intruder in a residence in the 100block of Santee Trail. The suspect was located a short time later. After a short investigation on scene, the suspect was arrested.
10:44 a.m. Officers took a report of a bike being stolen in early May from the 1800 block of 12th Street South.
10:46 a.m. Officers spoke with a guardian and juvenile at the police department. The juvenile was later taken into custody for chasing her guardian with a knife.
12:36 p.m. The Brookings Police Department was asked to assist the Department of Corrections with arresting a party.
1:31 p.m. Officers took a juvenile report in the 100 block of Council Ridge Road.
Wednesday, Aug. 8
10:01 a.m. Suspicious activity
11:05 a.m. Officer Schneider arrested a male for an outstanding warrant. A report was generated.
12 p.m. A parent and a juvenile called in a male who was acting suspicious.
2:36 p.m. A Sioux Falls detective called and requested an officer perform a welfare check on a woman who was suicidal and threatened staff at the Minnehaha State’s Attorney’s Office.
8:59 p.m. A female came to the Brookings Police Department to report a juvenile incident. A report was filed.
10:58 p.m. Officer Larsen responded to the 100 block of Eighth Street for a male who had made suicidal threats. The male spoke with a counselor and made safety arrangements.
