BPD police log July 28-30


Saturday, July 28

12:19 a.m. Officer Asmus conducted a traffic stop on the 600 block of 20th Avenue. An investigation was conducted, and one male was arrested on drug charges.

2:18 a.m. A vehicle was stopped on the 600 block of Eighth Street South. A report was filed.

7:57 a.m. Officers located a small amount of marijuana.

8:55 a.m. Officers were called to a suspicious person report. The individual was arrested for various drug charges.

8:51 p.m. A vehicle was stopped in the 1100 block of Sixth Street for expired license plates. An investigation was conducted, and the driver was cited for no valid driver’s license, no insurance and expired plates. The vehicle was impounded, and a report was filed.

Sunday, July 29

5:27 a.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of 12th Street South due to a noise complaint. One individual was later taken into custody due to an active warrant.

8:05 a.m. In the 2200 block of Yorkshire Drive, a vehicle was stopped for speeding. The driver was arrested for DUI and ingestion of marijuana.

Monday, July 30

8:21 a.m. Information was received regarding an inmate who was attempting to have someone assault a victim in an ongoing case. An investigation was conducted, and charges are pending for tampering with a witness.

10:37 a.m. A probation search was conducted in the 2200 block of 17th Avenue South. A firearm was removed for safekeeping.

10:50 a.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg received a report of vandalism to a vehicle. The reporting party reported that her vehicle had been vandalized with some type of vegetable while it was parked outside of her place of work located in the 1800 block of 12th Street South. The incident was documented.

1:58 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 12th Street South for a report a stolen/missing cell phone. A report was filed.
