BPD police log June 12-14

2:38 p.m. Bench warrant

8:16 p.m. Officers were called to the 2400 block of Ninth Street for a noise complaint. Offenses included ingest, inhale substance to become intoxicated; possession with intent to distribute marijuana, 1 ounce but less than a half-pound; possession of marijuana, 2 ounces to less than a half-pound.

Wednesday, June 13

11:07 a.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of 22nd Avenue in reference to a call for assistance. The call was mental health related, and a referral was made to the Department of Social Service.

2:03 p.m. Officer Asmus made contact with a female on the 500 block of 15th Street South who had outstanding warrants. The female was taken into custody, and a report was filed.

3:56 p.m. Officer Jurrens received a report of a possible runaway.

6:25 p.m. Officer Larsen took a report of stolen items from a residence in the 300 block of Medary Avenue South. It is currently under investigation.

9:41 p.m. Simple assault – domestic intimidation; false report

Thursday, June 14

12:54 a.m. Officers responded to the 2400 block of Sixth Street in reference to someone attempting to pass a counterfeit $50 bill. An investigation is ongoing.

9:41 a.m. Officers responded to the 1800 block of Olwein for an unattended death. A report was filed.

11:09 a.m. The Brookings Police Department received a call regarding a threatening letter that was posted in a public location on 22nd Avenue South. The incident is being investigated.

1:52 p.m. Juvenile incident

6:17 p.m. Officer Larsen was dispatched to the 500 block of Remington Circle for a report of a suicidal subject. The subject was not suicidal, and a report was filed.
