12:28 p.m. Officer Jurrens took a report about possible harassment.

4:19 p.m. Officer Asmus took a report of two males trespassing at a business on the 2200 block of Sixth Street. A report was filed, and charges are pending.

9:41 p.m. Officer Franklin responded to the 2000 block of David Cove for the report of intentional damage.

Tuesday, May 22

1:52 a.m. Officers received a phone call about a possible assault that had occurred earlier. An investigating is pending.

4:18 p.m. Officers received a complaint of a vehicle that had been backed into.

6:13 p.m. The police department received information about a street sign that had been struck in the 600 block of Eighth Street. A report was filed.

10:43 p.m. Officers assisted the Brookings County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Eighth Street South. During the stop, a sheriff’s deputy arrested an individual for DUI.

Wednesday, May 23

9:36 a.m. The Brookings Police Department received a report of an attempted break-in that occurred in the 500 block of 12th Street South earlier that morning. Someone got into a vehicle and attempted to get into a residence.

11:04 a.m. A non-injury crash was reported in the 400 block of First Street South. A report was filed.

4:57 p.m. Officer Popp responded to the 600 block of Heritage Drive for a report of intentional damage to property. It was found to be a domestic dispute that had not become physical. A report was filed.

9:32 p.m. Officers spoke with a juvenile female in reference to a possible sexual assault. The investigation is ongoing.

10:55 p.m. Officer Lantgen was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Avenue for an ID check. One female was cited for underage consumption.
