Thursday, May 24
9:19 a.m. Officer Pollman was dispatched to the 1000 block of Third Avenue for a report of criminal entry into a motor vehicle.
12:19 p.m. Officer Popp observed a driver who he knows to have a revoked driver’s status speeding in the school zone after school was released. The driver was stopped in the 2500 block of Larkspur Ridge Drive and arrested.
Friday, May 25
1:46 a.m. Officer Lantgen stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Multiple passengers were in violation of parole and probation.
8:32 a.m. Officer Pollman was dispatched to the 400 block of 15th Street South for a found juvenile. The 2-year-old was reunited with parents, and a Department of Social Services referral report was filed.
Saturday, May 26
1:45 a.m. A resident caught two individuals attempting to steal items from her vehicle.
2:35 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Medary Avenue and Third Street for a stop sign that had been knocked over. A report was filed.
7:14 a.m. Driving while suspended
11:49 a.m. Officer Bonnema stopped a motor vehicle for a registration violation. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and marijuana.
4:35 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received a theft report. A phone was stolen from a purse in the 700 block of 22nd Avenue South. The incident is being investigated.
