BRANDON – The Bobcats won the first set 25-19 but the host Lynx took the next three by the scores of 26-24, 25-15 and 25-9 to pick up an Eastern South Dakota Conference volleyball victory Thursday night.

Brandon Valley tops Brookings in four sets

BRANDON – The Bobcats won the first set 25-19 but the host Lynx took the next three by the scores of 26-24, 25-15 and 25-9 to pick up an Eastern South Dakota Conference volleyball victory Thursday night.

For Brandon Valley (9-6), Brooklyn Grage had 12 kills and a pair of service aces. Kazi Ellingson added 11 kills, while Bella Steffel and Bella Stensrud contributed seven apiece.

Kaija Mork (19) and Avery Myers (18) combined for 37 set assists.

Ella Simonson came up with 26 digs, Grage 15 and Taylor Stemen 14. Simonsen netted a pair of aces.

Brookings’ Johanna Miller recorded 15 kills and an ace.

Kat Charging tallied six kills and Landree Wilson chipped in with four.

Brittany Birgen dished out 27 set assists and recorded an ace.

Molly Steffensen came up with 18 digs, Riley Weisbeck 11 and Regan Weisbeck 10. Regen Weisbeck and Schafer had aces.

The Bobcats (4-13, 2-3) are host to Sioux Falls Lincoln on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
