ELKTON – Someone tried to break into a house in Elkton Monday, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported at 9:17 p.m. Monday and occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Kelsey Street in Elkton, said Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring.
“A resident of Elkton reported finding pry marks on the door of their home,” he said. “Entry to the residence was unsuccessful.”
The damage total is unknown at this time, he added.
