  • 9:41 a.m. Officers were given a report of extortion. The report is being investigated.
  • 10:26 a.m. Officers were made aware of a check theft. The incident is being investigated.
  • 6:12 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a car vs. deer accident.
  • 6:21 p.m. Officers responded to mile marker 132 on I-29 for a car that struck a deer. A report was generated.
  • 11:35 p.m. Brookings police arrested a driver for driving under the influence.

Saturday, Nov. 12

  • 10:47 a.m. Brookings Police took a report of no contact order violation.
  • 11:52 a.m. A citizen filed a report of theft from a motor vehicle.

Sunday, Nov. 13

  • 12:32 a.m. Brookings police officers took a report of theft.
  • 12:56 a.m. Brookings Police took a report of someone going through vehicles at 300 20th St. S.
  • 1:48 p.m. Officers received a report of theft from a vehicle.
  • 1:59 p.m. Police received several calls about a male individual having a mental health crisis.
  • 3:53 p.m. Brookings police took a report of a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. An accident report was completed.

  • 1:56 p.m. Officers responded to a minor private property accident.
  • 2:14 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of burglary and theft from the building in the 800 block of Sixth Street.
  • 3:10 p.m. Law enforcement investigated a non-injury accident.
