BROOKINGS – Yankton completed the season sweep over the Bobcats with a 67-47 Eastern South Dakota Conference win on Tuesday night at the Summit Events Center.

BROOKINGS – Yankton completed the season sweep over the Bobcats with a 67-47 Eastern South Dakota Conference win on Tuesday night at the Summit Events Center.

The Bucks led 22-13 after a quarter and then extended their lead to 38-22 at halftime before Brookings played to just a four-point deficit with the home team over the second half as the ‘Cats dropped to 5-12 on the season.

Trevor Woodall’s 12 points led the Bobcats, who shot 18-of-48 from the floor, which included 8-for-23 from beyond the arc. Drew Cole added nine points and seven rebounds while Eric Sell dropped three 3-pointers for nine markers.

Matthew Mors’ 20 points and nine boards led Yankton, which improved to 14-4. Cooper Cornemann contributed 12 points.

On Friday, Brookings plays at Sioux Falls Roosevelt. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
