BROOKINGS – James Drew of Clark Drew Construction explains the site plan for the Brookings Marketplace land to City Councilor Holly Tilton Byrne during an open house at the City & County Government Center Monday evening. The land is located in the northeast corner of Interstate 29 and Highway 14.
Josh Johnson of Aurora said he was excited to see plans for restaurants and shopping and liked the location, since it was easier to access from Aurora.
Angie Boersma noticed there was room for larger retailers, which was a change for Brookings. She also mentioned the current plan did not show residential space, “not sure how I feel about that,” she said.
