Brookings Youth Leadership Academy in first year

BROOKINGS – Participants in the first-ever Brookings Youth Leadership Academy hear from Brookings Mayor Keith Corbett during their first session last month.

The goal of this program is to discuss various aspects of leadership with seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade students from Brookings and surrounding communities.

The program was created by a member of the Library Board of Trustees and is being provided by the Brookings Public Library. Corporate sponsors for the program are Banner Associates, Inc., Larson, Daktronics, Inc., First Bank & Trust as well as Brookings Area United Way.
