CHICAGO - Morgan Brower and Zorka Sara Sviben both placed second in their respective singles flights at the Cougar Invitational on Sunday.
Morgan Brower dropped a 6-4, 0-6, 7-5 decision to Michelle Erasmus of NIU in the Gold Flight to take second, while Sidney Brower came in fourth in the bracket as well.
Sviben was topped by Sofia Borcuti, 6-3, 6-3 to take second place in the Grey Flight and Daria Yakovleva placed third in the bracket after defeating Jessica Poole of Cardinal Stritch, 6-2, 6-3.
Ekaterina Tretyakova captured fourth in the Black Flight after dropping a tough, 7-5, 7-6 (1), 10-2 decision to Leshia Gadacz of Chicago State, while Theodora Kyriakopoulou placed eighth in the bracket.
Emilly Van Dijk and Marta-Anna Tynna both placed sixth after losing in the consolation finals of their brackets.
