BROOKINGS – The Brookings School District has applications available to those who want to serve on the Brookings School Board for one year following Jennifer Lacher-Starace’s resignation May 15.
Applications, which can be picked up either at the Brookings School District administration office located at 2130 Eighth St. S. or online at https://brookings.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx, will be accepted online or in person until 4 p.m. May 30.
Applications will be reviewed by the school board in executive session. The school board will then interview potential appointees at the June 18 school board meeting.
Lacher-Starace’s resignation was approved at the May 15 school board meeting. Her resignation comes from her acceptance of an eighth-grade reading and English teaching job at Mickelson Middle School. Her teaching contract was approved at the same May 15 meeting.
