Bullets split doubleheader with Harrisburg

HARRISBURG – The Bullets split a baseball doubleheader with the host Tigers on Friday.

Harrisburg took Game 1 by a 10-9 margin and Brookings posted a 15-6, three-inning victory in Game 2.

The Bullets (3-6) play a twinbill at Mitchell on Sunday at 1 p.m. before returning home for a doubleheader against Sioux Falls East on Monday at 5 p.m.

Game 1

 Harrisburg 10, Brookings 9

Braden Clifford was 4-for-5 with three RBIs. Josh Devine went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three runs scored.

Joey McMacken added two hits, including a solo home run. Isac Norgaard doubled in a pair of runs.

Game 2

 Brookings 15, Harrisburg 6 (3 inn.)

The Bullets got off to a fast start with nine runs in the opening frame.

Lincoln Hardin finished 2-for-2 with a triple, a walk, five RBIs and two runs scored. Payton Theodosopoulos reached base in all four of his plate appearances, doubling twice while driving in four runs.

McMacken was 2-for-2 with a walk, two RBIs and a pair of runs. Sam Hardin drew three walks and scored each time. Clifford doubled.

Keiji Numata earned the pitching win after allowing six runs – five earned – on six hits and five walks with one strikeout in 1 2/3 innings. Lincoln Hardin recorded the final four outs, allowing one hit with a strikeout and a walk.
