The visiting Dukes led 6-0 before the Bullets put together a rally in their final three at-bats.

Brookings tallied a lone run in the fifth and came up with four more in the bottom of the seventh before leaving runners on the corners in the one-run loss.

Kohji Numata led off the fifth with a walk; stole second; advanced to third on Jake Vlaminck’s single; and then scored when Cayden Jacobsma put the ball in play.

In the seventh, Jacobsma drew a walk; moved to second on Gabe Wounded Head’s one-out single; and then went to third on a walk to Kane Kurtenbach, which loaded the bases.

Carter Merritt singled, which plated Jacobsma; Tanner Huber took one for the team, which forced Wounded Head to make it 6-3, before Kurtenbach and Merritt later scored on a Renner error to get the Bullets within 6-5.

But a Bullet strikeout ended the game with the tying run on third and the winning run on first.

Jacobsma suffered the loss after throwing five innings and giving up six runs – one earned – on five hits and three walks with one strikeout.
