Burglar steals electronics

BROOKINGS – A burglar stole a variety of electronics last week after breaking into a local residence, according to Brookings Police.

The burglary was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Third Street, Assistant Chief Derrick Powers said. The owner was away from the residence when the burglary happened sometime between Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 24.

After getting in via forced entry, the burglar took several electronics, including two video game consoles, video games, and a 39-inch flat-screen TV. An estimated value of the items was not immediately available.

Powers said no suspects have been identified at this time.
