WATERTOWN – Dakota Rural Action’s Rural Vitality Committee will hold its third annual forum on Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations, Dec. 6 in Watertown.

Designed to assist county officials who are coping with the rise in permit applications in some parts of the state, the CAFO Forum will feature sessions on legal, infrastructure and environmental issues related to the permitting process.

The workshop will take place from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Codington County Extension Building. Elected and appointed county officials involved in the permitting process can RSVP by Nov. 27, by contacting Rebecca Terk at rebeccat@dakotarural.org or call 697-5204 x260. The forum is free of charge and lunch will be provided, but an RSVP is required to attend.
