Canova Gang beats Colman A’s 7-2


CANOVA – The Canova Gang beat the Colman A’s 7-2 in a Cornbelt League amateur baseball game Thursday.

The A’s struck out 16 times and totaled five hits.

Canova scored two runs in the first inning, one in the second and three in the third to move ahead 5-0. The Gang added a single run in the sixth to make it 6-0.

Colman got on the board in the seventh. Zach Anderson reached on an error to open the inning. Deon Entringer hit a two-run homer with one out to cut the deficit to 6-2.

The Gang scored its final run in the eighth.

Colman plays at Dell Rapids PBR on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The A’s then face off with the Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks twice – on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Colman and on Sunday at 5 p.m. in Humboldt.
