BROOKINGS – The 73rd edition of Capers will be Jan. 23-27 in Doner Auditorium at South Dakota State University.
Capers is a student-written and produced sketch comedy show filled with dance, singing and hilarious skits, including more than 100 SDSU students who differ in major, background and talent. Alpha Psi Omega, an honors theater fraternity, oversees the production of Capers.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. Jan. 23-27 and 2 p.m. Jan. 27.
Tickets, which are $11 for general admission and $14 for reserved seats, go on sale Jan. 16-19 and Jan. 22-26 in the University Student Union’s Main Street from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Tickets can also be ordered by calling 688-4325, online at www.sdstate.tix.com or at the Doner Auditorium box office two hours before each show.
Doors will open 30 minutes before each show, and general admission seating is first-come, first-served.
This year’s theme is holidays, ranging from Christmas and Independence Day to National Talk Like a Pirate Day or Leif Ericson Day.
“It’s a great excuse for a friends night, date night or just a fun night out,” said Brooklyn Schwiesow, noting Capers contains mature themes and language.
