Carol Ann Styf, 77, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Brookings Health Care in Brookings.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at United Parish Church in Elkton. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, at the Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Elkton.
Carol was born on Dec. 23, 1940, in Ruthton, Minnesota, the daughter of Jens and Gladys (Campbell) Jensen. She attended rural school in District No. 46, in Brookings County.
Carol married John Styf on June 2, 1963, in Elkton. After their marriage they farmed until 1984, when they moved into Elkton. John died Dec. 9, 1999, in Hendricks, Minnesota.Carol was a member of the United Parish Church in Elkton. She enjoyed mowing yards, gardening and working on puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Rosalie) Styf of Aurora, Jerry (Ellen) Styf of Orange Park, Florida, Kristy (Mike) Bovee of Adam, New York, Connie Styf of Woodbury, Minnesota; five grandchildren; and four sisters, Doris Larson of Ruthton, Minnesota, Joyce Swenson of Pipestone, Minnesota, Marlys (Daniel) Slocum of Addison, Illinois, and Violet (Terry) Dominiack of Chamberlain.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, and three brothers, Gordon, LeRoy and George.
