Carol Jensen, 57, of Brookings, died Monday, May 8, 2017, at her ADVANCE home under hospice care.
Memorial services are at at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings. Burial is at 3:30 p.m. at the Romsdahl Cemetery in rural Beresford.
Carol Ann Jensen was born on Jan. 3, 1960, to Hugh and Marjorie (Thompson) Jensen in Hawarden, Iowa. In 1996 Carol moved to Brookings and was welcomed and loved by her ADVANCE family.
Carol loved music, especially country music. She was known for being sweet, loving, and kind-hearted, and greatly enjoyed spending time with all of her friends at ADVANCE. Carol also enjoyed spending time outside, and loved attending the Stars horseback riding program.
Survivors include her sister, Kathy (Pat) O’Hara; brother Doug (Mary) Jensen; step-brother Allen Skogman; step-sister Paula Waterman; 13 nieces and nephews, and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her step-mother, Velma Jensen; and a niece, Mandi Jo Farley.
