Carol Wosje, 70, of Brookings,  died Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Madison Regional Health System in Madison.  

Funeral services  are at 10:30 a.m.  Monday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Nunda. Burial will immediately follow the service at Prairie Queen Cemetery in Nunda. Visitation will be held Sunday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings, from 5 until 7 p.m. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Carol Ann Wilson was born on May 4, 1948, to Johannah (Schroeder) and Harold Wilson in Madison. Carol attended Garfield Elementary School, and graduated in 1966, from Madison High School. 

She also attended General Beadle College. Following her time in college, Carol moved to Manhattan, Kansas, and then Detroit before returning to Madison. 

Carol married Chip Wosje on Sept. 12, 1969, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. The couple made their home near Nunda and they had four children: Jodi Lynn, Jennifer Robin, Erin Christine, and Christopher Michael.

Carol held many positions throughout her life, including working at Gambles in Madison, the Rutland School District, the Physical Plant at South Dakota State University, and Capital Card Services. Carol was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Nunda, where she was a Sunday school teacher for 24 years.

Carol loved life, and enjoyed many hobbies and interests. She relished time spent scrapbooking, quilting, working in her flower gardens, reading, and working on crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

Carol is survived by her children: Jodi (Dan) Phelps, of Badger, Erin (Stuart) Oster of Harrisburg and Chris (Tanya) Wosje, of Madison; five grandchildren; brothers: Gary (Judi) Wilson, of Sioux Falls and Dan (Maureen) Wilson of Nunda, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Robin, granddaughter Emma Ann, and her parents.
