Caroling choir at post office

BROOKINGS – By the time they were all assembled, about 80 members of the Brookings High School choir had gathered on the steps of the Brookings Post Office for the grand finale of around-town Christmas caroling at 12 locations Wednesday afternoon.

Choir Director Denise Perry said this was the eighth year of what has become an annual holiday tradition in Brookings and an event planned by a committee of choir members.

The young singers ended their concert tour with a fast-paced rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas,” after which, having braved the chilly weather, they headed off for hot chocolate and cider.
