‘Carving out Christmas’ brunch scheduled


FLANDREAU – The Flandreau Christian Women’s Connection invites area residents to a “Carving Out Christmas” brunch.

The event will be from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the William F. Janklow Community Center in Flandreau and the cost is $6.

Linda Hoffelt of Brookings will be the featured presenter. She will share her unique talent for wood carving. 

Participants will see her methods  as she turns wood into wonderful creations, including some for the Christmas holiday.

John Mills, a state legislator from Brookings will share his passion for music.

The featured speaker will be Elsie Friesen of Mountain Lake, Minnesota. Her speech “Rescued and Restored” will focus on people who either saved someone else or were saved by someone else.

A complimentary preschool is available on site. Parents should call and register their children.
