'Cats place 4th at Forseth Invite

SIOUX FALLS – Watertown eighth-grader Myah Morris won the All-Around competition as Mitchell won the team title at the Lolly Forseth Invitational on Saturday at Lincoln High School.

The Kernels scored 144.075 points as the Arrows were second with 141.275; followed by Rapid City Stevens (138.200) and Brookings (134.250).

Morris finished with 37.375 points after winning the floor routine (9.550) and vault competition (9.725).

Rapid City Stevens’ Shay Trimble placed second in the All-Around with 37.275 points as the junior scored a 9.575 to win the bars.

O’Gorman senior Lizzie Miller won the balance beam with a 9.400.

For the Bobcats, Rachel Gannon placed fourth in the All-Around with a 35.225 as the eighth-grader tied for fifth on the beam (8.900); placed eighth on the floor (9.125); tied for 10th on the vault (8.850); and finished 14th on the bars (8.350).

Maci Law placed eighth in the All-Around with a 33.525, while Cydne Munson was 17th (31.550).

Law was 22nd on the bars (7.950); tied for 16th on the beam (8.450); tied for 18th on the floor; and tied with her teammate Carissa Witt for 31st on the vault (8.350).

Munson was 38th on the bars (7.225); 34th on the beam (7.675); tied for 35th on the floor with teammate Sydney Grendler (8.150); and tied for 24th on the vault (8.500).

Lily Siemonsma placed ninth on the bars (8.600); 37th on the beam (7.525); and 39th on the floor (8.050).

Marah Dobrenski tied for 18th on the bars with an 8.200 while Witt also placed 28th on the beam (7.875) and Grendler was 36th on the vault (8.225).

The Bobcats travel to the Mitchell Invitation on Friday, Dec. 15.
