Celebrating 150 years

FLANDREAU – Mother Nature didn’t rain on Flandreau’s parade Friday morning.

Things were a bit soggy, but the Sesquicentennial and All-School Reunion parade went on as scheduled at 10 a.m. with more than 100 entries. Above, Moody County Courthouse employees won the Most Humorous award for their trading post parade entry. Below, the Flandreau Alumni Band entertains crowds on West Second Avenue.

Sesquicentennial events continue today and Sunday in Flandreau, with a golf tournament, car show, a dance, a fly-in breakfast and more. For details, see the event calendar in today’s Register.
