AURORA – Aurora residents and visitors celebrated a “rising star on the prairie” at the community’s annual Gala Days celebration this weekend.
Crowds stood along Broadway Avenue watching parade entries roll by. Gala Days king and queen Joe and Jan Mersch wave to the crowd during the parade.
Saturday was jam-packed with events, like the car show shown below. In the city park, vendor tents were set up along with entertainment on two stages. A street dance featuring Avenger Joe closed the weekend festivities Saturday night.
