WINNER (AP) – Charges are pending against the driver who struck and killed a man who was walking along a highway near Winner, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash happened about 2 a.m. Saturday on Highway 18 about 13 miles west of Winner, the patrol said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 38-year-old driver of the car and a 42-year-old female passenger were not injured. The names of those involved have not been released.
