In your Dec. 22 issue of the Register was a very good article in regard to children paying for long-term care of parents.
The wisdom of our forefathers addressed this issue many years ago and should be continued.
I’m very much in favor of children paying for care of their parents.
Parents likely provided many, many benefits for their children.
Consequently, it would be a moral responsibility for children to care for parents to the extent of their capabililty before they would expect the public to provide money for their parents’ care.
