BROOKINGS – Mama and Max, the Children’s Museum of South Dakota’s animatronic dinosaurs, are hosting a Play Along Path fall prairie play adventure on Friday, Oct. 30.

The event, planned with safety at its core, will take place on the museum’s outdoor prairie from 2-7 p.m. Participants will follow a path to take part in a variety of seasonal games and experiences from launching a pumpkin with a trebuchet to observing spooky science experiments.

Max, the museum’s baby T. rex, will wear his mummy costume and will be available for photos as well.

Costumes are encouraged. Admission is $6 each for age 1 and over.

The event features timed ticketing and guests will be able to select an arrival time when purchasing tickets to allow for physical distancing. Additional operation modifications, such as limited capacity, additional cleaning procedures, and face coverings for everyone 2 and over will also be in effect.

Tickets are limited and are available online at https://prairieplay.org/event/play-along-path/ or by phone (692-6700).
