Coffeehouse tips go to Harvest Table

BROOKINGS – The Mission of the Month of July for the Mission Coffeehouse at First Lutheran Church is the Brookings Harvest Table.

The Harvest Table began in Brookings in the fall of 2000. Initially, the meals were offered on a monthly basis, but due to the popularity, the Harvest Table began serving free meals weekly at the Community Life Center of First United Methodist Church.

Its mission is to provide anyone in the community a no cost meal, love and fellowship, with children’s activities, healthy living information, diapers and groceries.  If you would like to get involved with the Harvest Table, you can provide nonperishable food items, diapers and wipes, paper products, hygiene items, household supplies, and canvas tote bags.  Monetary donations are also accepted. If you and/or your group or organization would like to serve a meal, get in touch with coordinator Vonda Kirkham at 605-692-4345.
