BROOKINGS – The City of Brookings has launched a new website section to keep residents informed and updated on capital improvement projects (CIP), including street projects.
The section features an interactive project map residents can digitally navigate to learn about the city’s projects. It provides a layout of planned and underway construction projects, by location, including overlay projects, chip-seal, reconstruction and more.
Individuals who want to take a deep dive into project details have the opportunity to learn more by taking a journey through the CIP link menu and visiting subpages dedicated to each specific project.
Each subpage includes a project overview, updates, completed and in-progress milestones, and other details.
For an even more immersive experience, residents can also view an interactive CIP story map created by the city’s GIS specialist.
Residents may utilize the new projects section by visiting www.cityofbrookings-sd.gov/projects.
