BROOKINGS – Coffee with a Cop is making a comeback.

The Brookings Police Department would like to welcome the public to attend “Coffee with a Cop” from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, at Kool Beans – Coffee and Roasterie in downtown Brookings at 314 Main Ave. Suite 5.

Coffee with a Cop has been a way for the public to sit down with an officer and ask questions and share issues with law enforcement, according to Officer Keith Theroux. Some examples are safety, home security or what’s happening in their neighborhoods, he told the Register in 2020.

“Kool Beans has agreed to provide a free cup of coffee to those who attend. Ask your boss to let you take a coffee break (you know you deserve one) and come meet some of our great patrol officers and detectives while you enjoy a delicious cup of coffee!” according to Brookings Police’s Facebook page.
