BROOKINGS – Electrical cords were stolen from a site in rural Brookings, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The theft was reported at 10:30 a.m. Friday from a construction site near 34th Avenue South and 20th Street South, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
The cords were stolen from three excavators and a crushing machine, he said. The theft occurred sometime from Aug. 31 to when it was noticed Friday morning.
“The cost to fix and replace the cords is unknown at this time,” Sebring said.
