HAYTI – Trevor Hanson led a balanced scoring attack with 21 points as Sioux Valley crushed Hamlin 95-67 in a Lake Central Conference boys’ basketball matchup Tuesday night.
Max Nielson and Ryan Schuster both added 18 points, while Trevor Olson had 13 and Jake Schneider 11.
Nielson added 11 assists to complete the double-double, while Hanson had nine rebounds.
The Cossacks buried 13 3-pointers, including four by Schuster and three apiece from Nielson and Olson.
Sioux Valley led 25-16 after a quarter, 49-30 at halftime and 71-46 through three.
The Chargers’ John Roe finished with 20 points and Connor Bawdon added 16.
Sioux Valley (10-1, 1-1) heads to Salem to face McCook Central/Montrose on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Hamlin (6-2, 3-1) is host to Aberdeen Roncalli on Friday.
