BROOKINGS – Pack 24 Cub Scouts recently held their 2019 Pinewood Derby at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
The event was held on Monday, Jan. 21. Forty-four racers entered their derby cars across six Cub Scout dens and one open class. Results from the 2019 Pack 24 Pinewood Derby:
Cub Scout Den results:
Lions: First place Nolan LeSage, second place Michael Julius, third place Maxen Kuhl
Tigers: First place Nolan Zeller, second place Jacob deBlonk, third place Nicholas Havard
Wolves: First place Tyler Anderson, second place Gavin Heermann
Bears Group 1: First place Cooper League, second place Nolan Chandler, third place Leland Wiehr
Bears Group 2: First place Eli Ellsworth, second place Kaden Mertz, third place Dylan Haar
Webelos 1: First place Logan Schelske, second place Brecken Dorn, third place Jackson deBlonk
Webelos 2: First place Emerson Cramer, second place Braden Higgins, third place James Fitzpatrick
Open class: First place Andrew Ellsworth, second place Madison Schelske, third place Lydia Ellsworth
