Cubs dominate Madison

BROOKINGS – The Cubs moved to 3-0 Wednesday night after a dominating 15-0 victory over  Madison in six innings.

The Cubs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after two RBI singles from Austin Koenig and Curtis Anderson in the bottom of the second inning.

They then blew the game open with a six-run third inning to put them up 8-0.

They scored six more runs in the sixth inning to 15-run rule Madison.

Kyle Krogman and Jameson Meyer each pitched three innings giving up three hits a piece. Krogman had four strikeouts and Meyer had seven.

Meyer went 1-for-1 at the plate with an RBI double and Carter Roach went 2-for-2. Jeff Fish went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Ty Schnieder went 2-for-3 with three RBI’s for Brookings.
