Dakota String Quartet opens Brookings Chamber Music Society season Thursday

BROOKINGS – The Brookings Chamber Music Society’s 2021-22 season opens Thursday with the Dakota String Quartet. The 7:30 p.m. concert will be in Founders Recital Hall in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the South Dakota State University campus.

The quartet will perform Mozart’s “String Quartet No. 4 in C Major,” as well as Beethoven’s “String Quartet No. 14 in C-sharp Minor.”

Founded in 1978, the Dakota String Quartet has presented concerts and workshops throughout a five-state region. Members of the ensemble are Doosook Kim, concertmaster of the S.D. Symphony Orchestra, principal second violinist Madgalena Modzelewska, principal violist Yi-Chun Lin and principal cellist Robert Erhard.
