BROOKINGS – The DAV Brookings Chapter No. 22 and the 727th Transportation U.S. Army National Guard Unit will host the 14th annual DAV/727th DAV Charity Poker Run on Saturday, Sept. 1, starting at the Brookings Armory, 300 Fifth St. S.
Registration starts at 10 a.m. with the run departing with a parade at high noon. Registration is $20 per person.
The event will be held rain or shine with a $500 best hand and many other prizes.
An authentic Jack Daniels barrel used in Lynchburg, Tennessee, will also be auctioned at 5:30 p.m.
All proceeds go to the DAV Hospital Transportation Network.
The DAV/727th DAV Charity Poker Run provided the DAV Hospital Transportation Network in 2017 a check for $40,000, which brings the total amount raised by the event over 13 years to $183,000.
The DAV invites all members and friends to this outstanding Poker Run.
