Delrose “Della” (Mohwinkel) Pegors was born on May 31, 1953, in Fairmont, Minnesota, to Delton and Loretta Mohwinkel.  She was the middle of three children, growing up on a farm northeast of Truman, Minnesota.  Upon graduation from high school, Della attended fashion merchandising school in Minneapolis.

Wes and Della built an enduring friendship in high school that became the foundation for their relationship which bloomed into a 45 year marriage, which started on Oct. 3, 1973.

Della, having been raised in church, was concerned that after having done everything required of her, she still had no assurance that Heaven would be her home.  On April 2, 1973, a friend she worked with invited her to a Dave Wilkerson Crusade, where Della heard the gospel plainly given and put her trust in Christ Jesus alone for her salvation.  Without getting any discipleship, she struggled on what she should do next in her newfound Christian walk.  When her husband Wes was saved on April 10, 1977, they both realized the need to follow the Lord together in believer’s baptism and live for Christ.

To their union were added two daughters, Angie and Megan.  Della’s one desire was to have her daughters have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus like she did.  After Angie and Megan were married, that same desire was transmitted to her grandchildren.  She rejoiced as each one of them put their trust in the Lord Jesus.

In 1979, Della along with her husband, began a 30 year ministry of picking up unchurched children on a Sunday School bus and bringing them to church.  Through this ministry, scores of children were reached with the Gospel, with many trusting Christ as their Savior and some going on to full-time Christian ministry.

Della went home to her mansion that Jesus prepared for her to serve her Savior eternally on Jan. 4, 2019.  She will be sorely missed by her husband, Wes; daughters Angie (Grant) Behlen and Megan (Steve) Alberts; and grandchildren: Brooke, Britton, Dayna, Ava, Karmen, Kendra, and Macy.
