Deloris Lester, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Deloris was born to Daisy and Herbert Kracke on May 1, 1935 in White, South Dakota. Deloris had one older sister, Eunice, and two younger siblings, Janice and Marvin.
She married Larry Lester on June 30, 1955 in White. They were married for 61 years when Larry died in 2016. While they were still living in South Dakota, Deloris worked at the local Post Office. The Post Office was often so slow that Deloris would go in the back and bake cookies.
There will be a celebration of life on Monday, Nov. 19, at 4 pm at the Nesmith Readiness Center in Dallas (12830 Westview Drive).
The Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family, www.dallastribute.com.
