COLMAN – Courtni Frank led Deubrook Area to the girls’ team championship and Arlington prevailed on the boys’ side during the Dakota Valley Conference Golf Tournament on Monday at Sunrise Ridge.
Colman-Egan’s Kade Groos was the boys’ medalist.
Girls
The Dolphins put all four of their golfers in the top five while posting a team score of 290.
Castlewood (312) was second and De Smet (331) third.
Frank won with a 90. The Warriors’ Regan Benike was runner-up following a round of 92.
Deubrook’s Shelby Andrews (100), Mattie Nepodal (101) and Maci Colberg (102) placed third through fifth, respectively.
Lake Preston’s Brenna Woodcock (136) took 13th and Colman-Egan’s Berkley Groos (137) ended up 14th.

Boys
Arlington carded a 272 to edge Deubrook (273) by a shot, while Colman-Egan (280) finished third on its home course.
Lake Preston (316) finished sixth.
Groos fired an 8-over-par 80 (39-41) en route to taking the individual title.
Arlington’s Scott Sampson was second at 82 (38-44).
Nick Olson paced the Dolphins with an 89, putting him in third place.
Lake Preston’s Nick Curd (90) and Deubrook’s Nash Colberg (91) rounded out the top five.
Completing the Cardinals’ winning team score, Will Parry (93) placed seventh and Nick Kersting (97) was 14th. Trey Ramstad added a 102 and took 15th.
Deubrook’s Jack Bandemer (93) ended up ninth to round out his team’s score. Kobey Landmark (97) wound up 13th.
For the Hawks, Bodee Groos (95) placed 11th. Their third score came from Chandler Gullickson, who shot 105.
ELB’s Caleb Wiskur (93) took eighth.
