Dianna Louise Hein, 75 of Sioux Falls and a former Arlington resident died Sunday, Aug.7, 2022, at her home in Sioux Falls.
Dianna Louise (Bemis) Hein was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Huron, SD, to Melvin and Ruby (Kowalke) Bemis.  
She grew up and attended school at Iroquios, SD.  She attended Huron College after high school. On Nov. 4, 1967, she married James Hein.  
They lived in Cavour, SD, for 4 years and then moved to Arlington, SD where she was the secretary of the Lutheran Church and drove bus for the Arlington school district.  Jim and Dianna later moved to Sioux Falls and lived there for 10-plus years where she continued to drive bus for the Sioux Falls school district.  They moved back to Arlington, SD, in 2012 to spend their retirement years. During this time they did some traveling and bought a house in Texas, which they enjoyed for the winter months for many years. Upon Jim’s passing in April her kids moved her back to Sioux Falls so she could be closer to her family.
She is survived by two daughters: Melinda (Paul) Bommersbach; Kristy (Dan) Husby and two sons: Tim (Tammy) Hein all of Sioux Falls, SD; Mike Lynn from Aberdeen, SD; nne grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; her mother Ruby Bemis from Brookings, SD; two sisters; Debra (Ron) Zielke from Fargo, ND, and Dorinda (Dan) Raushcher from Brookings, SD.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Hein, father Melvin Bemis and sister Denise Gebur.
Funeral services for Dianna will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arlington with burial in the De Smet Cemetery at De Smet, SD.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Johnson-Henry Funeral Home in Arlington and in the church preceding services in the church.
