Divers top Patriots, Dolphins beat Deuel

LAKE PRESTON – Lake Preston improved to 3-3 on the season after using a good first half to top Hitchcock-Tulare 65-39 Tuesday night.

The Divers outscored the Patriots 33-19 in the first halft. They then took a 46-30 lead into the fourth quarter and outscored the Patriots 19-9 in the fourth quarter.

Carter Malon led Lake Preston with 22 points and three blocks. Jasper Denison had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jarrett Brown had seven points, three assists and three steals. Tate Larsen had 12 points. Logan Gilbert had 19 points for the Patriots and Kyle Hamilton had six.

The Divers shot 51% from the field and were 9-24 from three. They held the Patriots to 26% shooting from the field and 4-22 from three.

Up next, the Divers will host Estelline/Hendricks on Friday

 Deubrook Area 47, Deuel 42

TORONTO – The Dolphins picked up their second-straight win to improve to 2-5 on the season.

Nick Bowne led the way for Deubrook with 13 points and nine rebounds. Dereck Molengraaf had 11 points and nine rebounds. Mason Ramlo had six points.

The Dolphins outrebounded the Cardinals 31-29. Deubrook Area had 17 turnovers and Deuel had 10. The Dolphins shot 39% from the field and were 2-11 from three and the Cardinals shot 38% from the field and were 3-11 from three.

The Dolphins will face Iroquois/Doland on the road Thursday and the Cardinals will travel to Webster Thursday.
